Brussels – Samilia foundation
Dublin – Ruhuma is an Irish Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and a registered charity founded in 1989, which works with women affected by prostitution, sex trafficking and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation. Ruhama supports a variety of women, who have been affected by prostitution at any time in their lives. Whether outreach and crisis intervention, person-centred casework, education and development programmes, or housing and welfare assistance, all the support on offer is delivered in accordance with each woman’s wishes and needs, with full respect for her rights, and at her own pace. Seeking to exit prostitution is not a requirement to access Ruhama’s support, nor is fluency in English or a valid immigration visa.
Sofia – Animus assocation was founded by women professionals in the helping professions – psychologists, psychotherapists and social workers. It was established in 1994. In 2001, it acquired the status of a public benefit organization. The Mission of Animus is to promote healthy communication between people and gender in Bulgarian society. The goals of the organization are to work for the intellectual, professional and spiritual development of women; to initiate a change in the Bulgarian family and society; to develop and implement projects and programmes connected with support to women and children.
Paris – Fondation Scelles is an independent, non-profit organization based in Paris, France, dedicated to fight the system of prostitution and the exploitation of prostituted persons, through information, analysis, advocacy, awareness initiatives and legal actions. The Scelles Foundation is a member and founder of the Coalition for the Abolition of Prostitution (CAP Intl launched in 2013) of 22 abolitionist frontline NGOs in 17 countries. Our vision : A world without prostitution. Because the System of prostitution is a violence, a violation of human rights, a transnational organized crime, a multi-billion dollar illegal market in human beings, a threat to democracy, transparent economies and peace.
Lisbon – “O Ninho” is located in Lisbon Portugal. A Private Institution of Social Solidarity, whose objective is the human and social promotion of women who are victims of prostitution. “O Ninho”, over the years, has had serious and coherent interventions within denouncing prostitution, its causes and consequences. Part of the knowledge is acquired during almost four decades of working directly with prostitutes and the exchange of experiences with similar organizations in Europe and Brazil.
Bucharest – The Association for a United Community and Social Intervention – ACSIS is a non-governmental organization, non-profit, without any political or religious character, which develops programs meant to maintain cohesion of the most vulnerable families, starting 2004. ACSIS mission is sustainable development of family and community through education and specialized intervention for prevention of harmful social phenomena such as maternal abandonment, trafficking in persons or school dropouts. This is achieved through the development of education programs for a healthy life, psycho-social support, social and professional inclusion of vulnerable persons.
